Sakina Jaffrey
Sakina Jaffrey ( Panjabi : ਸਕੀਨਾ ਜਾਫ਼ਰੀ, Hindi : सकीना जाफ़री *, 14. February 1962 in New York ) is an American actress .
Life
Sakina Jaffrey was born in Manhattan , New York , to Madhur and Saeed Jaffrey's youngest daughter . Her parents divorced when she was three years old. She grew up with her father, who then emigrated to the United Kingdom . Jaffrey graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie in 1984 , where she studied Mandarin . Before she decided to become an actress, she had planned to train as an interpreter .
