Noel Grealish ( Irish Nollaig Ó Greallóis , born December 16, 1965 ) is an Irish politician and Teachta Dála in the lower house of the Irish Parliament since 2002 .

Grealish was first elected to the Dáil Éireann for the Progressive Democrats in 2002. He entered the constituency of Galway West and thus took the seat in the Dáil, which Bobby Molloy had previously held for more than 30 years. Molloy withdrew from politics and no longer stood for election.

After the abolition of dual mandates, Grealish resigned from Galway County Council in 2003 . The 1999 election to Galway County Council marked the beginning of his political career. Jim Cuddy now took Grealish's seat on the county council.

In May 2007, Grealish was re-elected to the Dáil Éireann. After Ciarán Cannon resigned on March 24, 2009 from the office of party chairman, Grealish became interim chairman of the Progressive Democrats. Since the party's dissolution later in the year, he has been an independent in Dáil Éireann (as of September 2016).
