Noemi Schneider

Noemi Schneider (* 1982 in Munich ) is a German director and author .

Life

Noemi Schneider studied documentary film directing and television journalism at the HFF Munich . Since 2008 she has been working as a freelance editor and author for Deutschlandradio Kultur .

As an employee of the ARD foreign studio in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, in 2011 she met the Israeli-Palestinian soccer player Walaa Hussein , about whom she wrote the documentary Walaa! turned and the book Kick it, Walaa! published.

In 2013 she was honored with the Essay Prize of Edit magazine for the text Oh Boy, I Hate Red .

In 2017 she was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition .
