Nogueiró is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Nogueiró belongs to the district and the city (pt: Cidade ) Braga in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 2.8 km² and 3685 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Nogueiró and Tenões were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Nogueiró e Tenões . Nogueiró is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
