Robert Bennett (athlete)

Robert Bennett ( Robert Howard "Bob" Bennett ; born August 9, 1919 in Providence , † December 13, 1974 ) was an American hammer thrower .

In 1947 and 1948 he was US champion. At the 1948 Olympic Games in London, he won the bronze medal.

The student of the University of Maine achieved his best length of 56.05 m in 1940.
