Tenões is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Tenões belongs to the district and the city (pt: Cidade ) Braga in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 1.67 km² and 1379 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Tenões and Nogueiró were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Nogueiró e Tenões .
