Nomada conjungens is a bee from the family of Apidae .
features
The bees have a body length of 8 to 9 millimeters (females) or 7 to 8 millimeters (males). The head and thorax of the females are black with red markings. The tergites are red and partly with yellow spots. Basal they are more or less black. The labrum is black and often red-edged. It has three teeth. The third antenna segment is shorter than the fourth. The middle antennae are about one and a half times as long as they are wide. The scutellum is red. The propodeum is hairless. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs have a bristle hair at the end and two to four short small thorns. The males have a black head and thorax with yellow markings. The tergites are red with yellow spots and are more or less black at the base. The densely hairy labrum is yellow. The third antenna segment is much shorter than the fourth. The label is black and often has small red or yellowish spots. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs have short hairs, the rails of the hind legs have bristle hair and several small thorns at the end, which, however, are difficult to see in the hair.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is common in southern and central Europe. The animals fly from early April to late July. The species parasitizes the species of the Andrena proxima group.
