Nomada errans is a bee from the family of Apidae .
features
The bees have a body length of 6 to 7 millimeters (females) or 5 to 7 millimeters (males). The head of the female is black and has reddish markings. The thorax and abdomen are black with white and yellow spots. The legs are red. The labrum is reddish and has a serrated transverse ridge behind the front edge. The third antenna segment is the same length as the fourth. The scutellum has a yellow-white spot. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs have three to four short small thorns at the end. The males look similar to the females, but their legs are dark yellow. The third antenna segment is almost as long as the fourth. The middle antennae are as long as they are wide.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is widespread in southern and in some places in central Europe and England. The animals fly from mid-June to mid-August. The species parasitizes Andrena nitidiuscula and perhaps Andrena pallitarsis as well .
