Nomada flavilabris is a bee from the family of Apidae .

features

The bees have a body length of 12 to 14 millimeters (females) or 11 to 13 millimeters (males). The head and thorax are black and yellow in the female. The legs and antennae are partly red. The tergites are black and have yellow bands, the first is reddish in some individuals. Like their rear edge, they are dense, dotted and matt. The labrum has a toothed transverse ridge behind the front edge. The segments of the antennae are very long. The parting is separated from the back of the head by an upstanding ridge. The scutellum has humps between which it is shiny. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are blunt at the end and have pale, small thorns that are longer than the width of the spur. The head and thorax of the males are black and have yellow markings. The tergites are basal black, the disks have broad yellow bands and have dark front and reddish rear edges. The labrum is yellow and has fine teeth. The third antenna segment is much shorter than the fourth. The middle links are about one and a half times as long as they are wide. The label has two yellow spots.

Occurrence and way of life

The species has only been found locally from Spain, Poland and Turkey to Tajikistan. The animals fly from mid-April to late July. It is unknown which hosts are parasitized .
