Nomada gribodoi is a bee from the family of Apidae .

features

The bees are ten to twelve millimeters long. The head of the females is black and has red markings. The thorax is also black, but has light yellow spots. The tergites are red or black, on the second and fourth there are light yellow spots on the sides, on the fifth there is a band. The labrum is red and has a transverse ridge behind the front edge. The third antennae is longer than the fourth. The thorax and abdomen are almost hairless. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are rounded at the end. They lack hair and thorns. The males look similar to the females, but have light yellow markings on their faces. The pygidial plate rounded at the backis narrow. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs are missing the hair fringe.

Occurrence and way of life

The species is widespread in southern Europe and Turkey and around Vinschgau . The animals fly in June. Which hosts they parasitize is unknown.
