The Roman Catholic Diocese of Arras ( Latin Dioecesis Atrebatensis , French Diocèse d'Arras ) is an in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Arras .

history

The diocese of Arras was established in the 6th century and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Reims as a suffragan . On May 12, 1559, the Diocese of Arras was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cambrai as a suffragan. On November 29, 1801, parts of the areas of the dioceses Boulogne and Saint-Omer were annexed to the diocese of Arras . On March 30, 2008, the diocese of Arras was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Lille as a suffragan.
