The Roman Catholic Diocese of Quimper ( lat. : Dioecesis Corisopitensis ) is in France located Roman Catholic diocese based in Quimper .

history

The diocese was established in the 5th century and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Tours as a suffragan . On November 29, 1801 parts of the areas of the dioceses Saint-Pol-de-Léon and Tréguier were annexed to the diocese of Quimper . The Quimper diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Rennes as a suffragan on January 3, 1859 .
