The diocese of Agen ( Latin Dioecesis Agennensis , French Diocèse d'Agen ), located in southwest France , was founded in the 4th century and today belongs to the Archdiocese of Bordeaux as a suffragan . After it had given up territories to establish the Condom diocese in 1317 , it now includes the Lot-et-Garonne department .

The old St-Etienne cathedral was destroyed during the French Revolution ; the former collegiate church of St-Caprais took over its function from 1802.
