history
The diocese of Moulins was established on July 27, 1817 by Pope Pius VII from cession of territory from the diocese of Autun and subordinated to the archdiocese of Sens as a suffragan . On December 16, 2002 the diocese of Moulins was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Clermont as a suffragan.
