Laurent Jean Lucien Marie Percerou (born September 11, 1961 in Dreux ) is a French clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of Nantes .

Life

Laurent Percerou first completed a history degree, which he completed in 1984. In 1987, he entered the seminary one in Paris and received on 14 June 1992 in Notre-Dame de Chartres , the ordination . In addition to various tasks in the parish pastoral care , from 1995 he was responsible for vocational pastoral care in the Diocese of Chartres . He retained this role when he was appointed vicar general of the diocese in 2003 . After Bishop Bernard-Nicolas Aubertin's appointment as Archbishop of Tours , Percerou was Diocesan Administrator of Chartres until Michel Pansard took office and was again appointed Vicar General by him.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Moulins on February 14, 2013 . The Archbishop of Clermont , Hippolyte Simon Louis Jean , donated to him on April 14 of that year in the Moulins Cathedral , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were Michel Pansard , Bishop of Chartres , and his predecessor Pascal Marie Roland , Bishop of Belley-Ars .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Nantes on August 11, 2020.
