The Archdiocese of Lille ( Latin Archidioecesis Insulensis , French Archidiocèse de Lille ) is an archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in France in the north of the country .
The Lille Cathedral
history
The diocese of Lille was separated from the Archdiocese of Cambrai on October 25, 1913 and subordinated to this as a suffragan diocese . On March 29, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI. the diocese of Lille to the metropolitan diocese and assigned him the diocese of Arras and the archdiocese of Cambrai as suffragan seats .
