The Roman Catholic Diocese of Amiens ( Latin Dioecesis Ambianensis , French Diocèse d'Amiens ) is an in France situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Amiens .
history
The diocese of Amiens was established in the 3rd century and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Reims as a suffragan . On November 29, 1801 parts of the area of the Beauvais diocese were annexed to the diocese of Amiens . The diocese of Amiens gave up on October 6, 1822 parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Beauvais.
