The diocese of Belfort-Montbéliard ( Latin: Dioecesis Belfortiensis-Montis Beligardi , French: Diocèse de Belfort-Montbéliard ), located in France , was founded on November 3, 1979 from areas of the Archdiocese of Besançon , to which it is still subordinate as a suffragan diocese. The bishopric is in Belfort .
