The Diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon ( lat. : Dioecesis Leonensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Saint-Pol-de-Léon .
history
The diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon was established in the 6th century. The first bishop was Paulinus Aurelianus . In 1687 a seminary was built. The diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tours as a suffragan .
In 1745 the diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon comprised 85 parishes .
On November 29, 1801, the diocese of Saint-Pol-de-Léon was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Quimper .
