Nomada kohli is a bee from the family of Apidae .

features

The bees have a body length of 5 to 6 millimeters (females) or 5 to 7 millimeters (males). The head and thorax of the females are red and drawn in black. The tergites are red and basal more or less black. The labrum is red and has three small teeth in front of the middle. The third antennae is longer than the fourth. The scutellum is red and has weak bumps. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are blunt at the end and have two to three small thorns. The head and thorax of the males are black and only moderately yellow. The tergites are brown-black and have yellow spots. The labrum is yellow, black in the middle and has three teeth. The third antennae is only slightly longer than the fourth. The fourth to seventh links have a nodule at the back. The flat label is black and has red spots in many individuals. The thighs ( femora ) of the middle legs are greatly enlarged, those of the hind legs have a fringe of hair. The rails of the hind legs have bristle hair at the end and a few pale, small thorns.

Occurrence and way of life

The species is widespread in southern and in some places also in central Europe. The animals sometimes fly in two generations per year from late April to late June and from late July to late August. They parasitize Lasioglossum puncticolle .
