Occurrence and way of life

The species is common in large parts of Europe. The animals fly from early April to early July. In Switzerland, the animals fly about a month later than north of the Alps. But you can still find them sporadically in October, which suggests a second generation. They parasitize Andrena assimilis , Andrena carantonica , Andrena eximia , Andrena ferox , Andrena rosae and Andrena trimmerana, and probably Andrena nigroaenea as well .
