The Noonan Cove is a bay on the Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It is located south of Stonehocker Point , the location of Wilkes Station , on the west side of the Clark Peninsula .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map them. The American polar explorer Carl R. Eklund carried out measurements of the bay on site in 1957. Eklund named it after the photographer Paul F. Noonan (* 1930) of the United States Navy , who worked at Wilkes Station in 1957.
