Norbert Groeben
Norbert Groeben (born April 19, 1944 in Ratibor ) is a German psychologist and literary scholar who taught general psychology in Heidelberg and general psychology and cultural psychology in Cologne .
Career
From 1963 Norbert Groeben studied psychology, German, philosophy, Catholic theology and sociology at the universities of Mainz , Vienna and Münster . 1967 Dipl.Psych. Mainz ; 1971 Dr. phil. Münster , also in 1972 MA in Modern German Philology. 1972 habilitation in psychology at the University of Heidelberg ; 1982 Habilitation in general literature at the University of Siegen .
From 1973 to 1994 he was Professor of General Psychology and Psycholinguistics at the University of Heidelberg. From 1994 to 2007 he held the chair for general psychology and cultural psychology at the University of Cologne. In addition, he has been honorary professor for general and empirical literature at the University of Mannheim since 1993 and at the University of Heidelberg since 2012 .
In retirement, Groeben publishes historical and time-critical texts in essayistic fiction and narrative form under the pseudonym Ben Roeg.
