reception

His doctoral thesis on Hans Globke in two volumes is considered to be very "narrative, but source-filled". Jacobs goes into the biography of Globke during the time of National Socialism and the FRG . He also focuses on Globke's connections to the military resistance of July 20, 1944 . In his work he evaluates the entire public controversy surrounding Globke's Nazi past.
