Norbert Lehn

Norbert Lehn (* July 7, 1955 , † March 29, 2008 ) was a German microbiologist and professor at the University of Regensburg .

Life

Norbert Lehn studied medicine at the Technical University of Munich , where he received his doctorate in 1983. He was appointed as a university teacher at the University of Regensburg . When he died, he left a wife and two children.

Services

The main research topic of Norbert Lehn was Helicobacter pylori . In the early 1990s, Lehn was one of the first researchers to support the theory that this bacterium is a major cause of gastric ulcers and a major risk factor for gastric cancer . He found similar relationships in other primates.
