Norbert Mészáros (born August 19, 1980 in Pápa ) is a Hungarian football player in central defense and midfield . He played for Energie Cottbus in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Mészáros played in his youth for his hometown club Pápai Perutz FC. In 2002 he was signed by the Hungarian first division club Dunaújváros FC . After relegation to the second division, he moved in 2003 to BKV Előre SC , who also played in the second division. There Mészáros scored three goals in 17 games. In the same year he went to the first division club Bodajk FC Siófok . After one season, FC Energie Cottbus signed him. In Cottbus he came to 24 missions and two goals. In 2005 Mészáros returned to his home country and joined Debreceni Vasutas SC , where he stayed until 2016. During this time he played 217 times and scored eight goals. He won the championship title six times and the national cup four times with the Debreceni Vasutas SC.

2009 Mészáros was for the first time in the squad of the Hungarian national football team . On June 1, 2012, he made his debut in a friendly against the Czech Republic . Mészáros was then used several times in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup .
