Norbert Oberholzer

Norbert Oberholzer , born and raised in Bazenheid in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen , was a yodeler, yodel and brass music conductor. Sponsored by his father, he conducted the male choir Bazenheid when he was 18 years old and also dedicated himself to church music. He was supported by the cathedral music director Johannes Fuchs and by Job. Babt. Hilber. Numerous positions followed, including from 1953 the musical direction of the Niederhelfenschwil Music Society and the local church choir. He served as President of the Northeast Swiss Yodelling Association for 10 years. In 1984 he was awarded the Golden Treble Clef for his musical achievements .
