Norbert Schübbe (born May 15, 1961 ) was a soccer player in the area of ​​the GDR soccer association . In its highest division, the Oberliga , he played for Halleschen FC Chemie .

Athletic career

Until 1979, Schübbe played for the company sports club (BSG) Chemie Buna in Schkopau , south of Halle (Saale) . At the beginning of the 1979/80 season, the BSG delegated him to the regional football center, the Halleschen FC Chemie. There Schübbe was nominated for the junior league, but was used on March 22, 1980 in a game of the GDR league. In the match on the 18th match day between FC Karl-Marx-Stadt and HFC (1-0), he was substituted on in the 72nd minute. In 1980/81 he was still officially a player in the youth team, but has now played eleven top division games, six of them from the start. For the 1981/82 season, the 1.80 m tall and trained electrician Schübbe was added to the squad of the first team. But neither under coach Peter Kohl nor with coach Jürgen Koitzsch did he find his way into the regular eleven, he was only used five times in the GDR Oberliga. It was only when Klaus Urbanczyk took over the team in 1982/83 that Schübbe also came into play. He played 22 league games this season and had a place in midfield from matchday 8. He came to the same number of games in the following season, but then the HFC rose from the league. By this time, Schübbe had played 61 league games, but not scored goals.

In the first GDR league season 1984/85, Schübbe was injured on the 10th match day and only returned to the first team in the 33rd and penultimate round. It took HFC three seasons to get promoted. Schübbe was there until November 1986. After he was injured again on the 5th match day of the 1986/87 season and had to sit out again for four match days, he then only made four short-term assignments. In early 1987, Schübbe moved to the third division Chemie Wolfen in the Halle district league after he had played 50 of 102 point games in the GDR league . In the 1989/90 season he returned to BSG Chemie Buna Schkopau, for which he played again in the GDR league.

After completing his career as a football player, Schübbe worked as a football coach. He was only known nationally at SV Braunsbedra , where he worked from 1999 to 2002 and in 2001 led the team to promotion to the amateur league . He gave an eight-week interlude as a coach from April to May 2007 at 1. FC Weißenfels in the state class of Saxony-Anhalt.
