Norbert Thüx

Norbert Thüx (born December 28, 1964 in Bitburg ) grew up in Trier , where he completed a commercial training. He later entered the Teutonic Order , where he made his temporary vows on August 12, 1989 . After studying theology in Bamberg, Frankfurt am Main and Innsbruck and making his solemn profession on July 30, 1994, he was ordained a priest on May 31, 1996 . After a time as pastor and superior in Wetter (Hessen) , Norbert Thüx became general economist of the Grand Master in 2000. From December 28, 2000 to May 2015, he was Prior and Provincial of the German Brethren Province of the Teutonic Order and led them out of their crisis. In addition to his position as Provincial, Norbert Thüx was general economist until 2008; also chairman of the religious hospital in Friesach ( Austria / Carinthia ) and council of the Grand Master for the Czech Brethren Province of the Teutonic Order.

He is a member of the Catholic student association KAV Capitolina Rome .
