Norbert Weiß (born November 5, 1949 in Dresden ) is a German publicist , editor and writer .

Life

Norbert Weiß was born in Dresden in 1949 and originally trained as a library technician. In between he carried out various activities (including telegram delivery, bookseller). He later completed a degree in pedagogy in Zwickau and studied at the Johannes R. Becher Institute for Literature in Leipzig. Norbert Weiß worked as a teacher, lecturer, publicist, editor and author. He is the founder and publisher of the literary magazine Signum - Blätter für Literatur undkritik as well as the organizer of the Signum reading series . Norbert Weiß is a member of the Advisory Board for Literature of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and belongs to the writers' association PEN Center Germany . He lives in Dresden and publishes prose and poetry.

He is a board member of the state district axes of the Association of German writers (VS) in ver.di .
