Norbert Wenning

Norbert Wenning (born December 17, 1957 in Horstmar ) is a German educator.

Life

He studied social sciences, geography, educational science and biology at the University of Münster , first state examination for secondary levels I and II. 1985/1986 he completed his legal clerkship at the Recklinghausen study seminar. From 1990 to 1997 he was a research assistant at the FernUniversität Hagen . After receiving his doctorate in Münster in 1993 , he was a university lecturer in Hagen from 1997 to 2001 . After his habilitation in 1997 at the FernUniversität Hagen ( Venia legendi : Educational Science), he taught as a visiting professor at the University of Klagenfurt in the 2001/2002 winter semester . In 2003 he was awarded the title “apl. Prof. ”awarded by the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences at the FernUniversität Hagen. Since the summer semester 2007 he has been teaching as a university professor for intercultural education at the University of Koblenz-Landau , Campus Landau.

His work focuses on linguistic and ethnic minorities in education, the historical development of dealing with linguistic and cultural minorities in education, migration as a factor in social development and as the basis of intercultural education, heterogeneity as a framework for institutionalized education and upbringing, and intercultural competence and professionalization.
