North German Science Prize
The North German Science Prize is a prize that has been awarded jointly by the science ministries of the states of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Lower Saxony , Schleswig-Holstein , the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg since 2012. The prize is initially awarded annually for five years and is endowed with 125,000 euros (as of 2018). The award recognizes successful North German collaborations in science. The prize is awarded annually by a different federal state.
