The Norderney was a motor lifeboat of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS).

The Norderney was commissioned by the DGzRS in 1939 and drove from 1940 to 1945 under the command of the German Air Force. In 1945 it was returned to the DGzRS.

Between January 1945 and March 1969 she was stationed on the North Sea island of Norderney and was then replaced by Otto Schülke . After it was decommissioned, the Norderney was sold to a private owner and from then on was based in Wilhelmshaven.

The ship, 17.30 meters long and five meters wide, built in 1940 by the Lürssen shipyard in Bremen-Vegesack , had a steel hull. The draft of the Norderney , equipped with two 150 hp machines on two screws , which had a top speed of 10 knots, was 1.40 meters. In 1953, a tower was retrofitted at the DGzRS shipyard in Bremen.
