The Beishiku Si or North Grotto Temple ( Chinese  北石窟寺 , Pinyin Běishíkū sì , English Northern Grottoes / North Grotto Temple / Northern Cave Temple (s), etc. ) is one of the four most important cave temples in the Chinese province of Gansu . It is located at the confluence of the Pu He蒲河 and Ru He茹 河rivers in the southeast of the large community of Dongzhi 董志 镇 below the Fuzhong Shan 覆 钟山, twenty-five kilometers in the southeast of the Xifeng西峰区district of the district-free city of Qingyang庆阳 市.

It was built by Xi Kangsheng奚康生, the government official ( cishi ) of Jingchuan 泾 州, in 509 (the second year of the Yongping era of Emperor Xuan Wu宣武帝) during the Northern Wei Dynasty and later during the Northern Wei Dynasty Zhou , Sui , Tang , Song, and Qing dynasties expanded. The Tang Dynasty grottoes make up two thirds of the grottoes. The grottos are located in different places just a few kilometers from each other: Sigou zhukuqun 寺 沟 主 窟 群, Loudicun yiku 楼底 村 一 kurz (for short: Bei yihao 北 一号), Shidaopo shiku 石 道 坡 石窟, Huabaoyashi 花 鸨 崖石, Shiya dongtai shikuqun 石崖 东 台 石窟 群. Of these, the group of Sigou caves ( Sigou zhukuqun ) is the most interesting and concentrated.

The Beishiku Grottoes ( Beishiku si ) in Qingyang have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-43) since 1988 .
