Nordlippe is a region in the north of the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia and consists of the communities Dörentrup , Extertal and Kalletal and the city of Barntrup .

history

The area sees itself as a rural and cultural unit. Numerous institutions such as authorities, media and tourist offers are now using this relatively new name. From 2007 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2020 the region was and will be funded within the framework of the LEADER structural funds of the EU, in the funding period 2007–2014 as one of ten funding regions in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Nordlippe is located in the northern Lipper Bergland and descends to the north into the Weser Valley . At 396 m, the Steinberg is the highest point in Nordlippe.
