Norsk Kvinnesaksforening (NKF; German: Norwegian Women's Rights Association) is a Norwegian women's rights organization .

history

It was founded in 1884 by 171 personalities, including several Norwegian Prime Ministers. The initiators were Gina Krog and Hagbard Berner . It was originally an association of the bourgeois women's movement and was unofficially linked to the Liberal Party .

Today it is a non-partisan women's rights organization, with various parties represented in the bodies. The NKF is a member of the International Alliance of Women . The president is Marit Nybakk . Former presidents include a. Eva Kolstad , Karin Maria Bruzelius and Torild Skard .
