WUNC FM - North Carolina Public Radio ("Bringing The World Home To You") is a major public radio station operated by National Public Radio in the Research Triangle of North Carolina .

The broadcast is from Chapel Hill . The station is operated by the University of North Carolina . In addition to programs from the NPR, American Public Media , Public Radio International and the BBC, the company also produces its own programs.

Direct broadcasts from Chapel Hill for the Chapel Hill-Raleigh-Durham region are on FM 91.5 MHz (WUNC), on FM 88.9 MHz from Manteo , for the northeast and the coast and on FM 91.9 MHz from Fayetteville ; as well as on FM 91.1 MHz for Welcome (North Carolina) and on FM 90.9 MHz from Rocky Mount . The station uses the simulcast standard HD radio and transmits an additional program, WUNC Music, via the second digital slot , in order to map the music scene in North Carolina.
