The North River arises from source rivers, from the area of Trocard ( ⊙ ) south of the Morne aux Diables . It flows to the southwest, on the northern edge of Portsmouth the South Branch River flows , which has been running parallel to the east for some time. After a few hundred meters the river flows into the sea in Portsmouth (at the Portsmouth Fisheries Complex ).
To the west is the catchment area of the Maloretour River and the Bell Hall River , the latter of which flows into the sea in Douglas Bay .
