The South Branch River is a tributary of the North River in Dominica . It runs in Parish St. John and flows into the North River, shortly before it flows into the Caribbean Sea in Prince Rupert Bay (Portsmouth Bay) .
geography
The South Branch River is formed from headwaters that come down from the northern slopes of Morne Les Héritiers ( ⊙ ) and Morne Brulés ( ⊙ ). It flows to the southwest and flows into the North River on the northern edge of Portsmouth, which has been running parallel to it to the west for some time.
The catchment area of the Barry River , a tributary of the Indian River , connects to the south .
