The Barry River is a tributary of the Indian River in Dominica . It runs in Parish St. John and flows into the Indian River shortly before it flows into the Caribbean Sea in Prince Rupert Bay (Portsmouth Bay) .
geography
The Barry River arises from a swarm of source rivers that arise in the southern slopes of Morne Les Héritiers ( ⊙ ) and Morne Brulés ( ⊙ ), as well as Morne Morson ( ⊙ ). It flows west and turns south on the eastern edge of Portsmouth, flows around the Sugarloaf Estate on the north side and then flows into the Indian River.
To the north is the catchment area of the South Branch River , a tributary of the North River .
