The North Seal River is the left headwaters of the Seal River in the northwest of the Canadian province of Manitoba .
The river has its origin in Morrow Lake . It flows initially in a northerly direction, later in an easterly direction through a landscape of the Canadian Shield with many lakes . The North Seal River flows through the following lakes on its route: Maria Lake , Chatwin Lake , Minuhik Lake , Egenolf Lake , Blackfish Lake , Bain Lake , Copeland Lake and finally Stony Lake . Shortly afterwards, the North Seal River flows into the western end of Shethanei Lake .
The North Seal River is approximately 330 km in length. Its catchment area covers 18,400 km². The mean discharge near the mouth is 130 m³ / s.
The lakes in the North Seal River basin are usually reached by seaplane. They are the destination of fishing and canoeing tourists.
