Nostrano

Nostrano ( Italian ; translated "Our own") is a term that is used for many products.

Nostrano describes a tannic , tart, earthy country wine from the canton of Ticino in Switzerland (→ Viticulture in Switzerland ). It is a mixture of the Barbera , Bonarda , Bondola and Freisa grape varieties . In restaurants it is sometimes served in boccalini .

Nostrano can also be salami or cheese. In Trentino they mean that the product comes from the local area or the local area.

There is also a variety of cucumber Nostrano . It is a resilient cucumber with a thick, prickly skin and more pulp than the commercially available cucumbers.
