Notker (also Notger ; † April 10, 1008 in Liège ) was Bishop of Liège from 972 to 1008 .

Notger was considered an excellent administrator of his diocese and a sponsor of the schools, and he enjoyed a high reputation among the emperors and popes of his time.

He was buried in the church of St. Jean in Liège, which was built during his tenure. Notger was beatified ; his feast days are April 9th and 10th.

Johannes Fried considers Notger von Lüttich, not Johannes Canaparius , to be the author of the Vita sancti Adalberti episcopi Pragensis about the life of Saint Adalbert of Prague (* 956 - † 997) (created around 1000). In this work the city of Gdańsk is mentioned for the first time , under the name "urbs Gyddanyzc".
