Nouna is both a municipality ( French commune urbaine ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the Boucle du Mouhoun region and the province of Kossi . The municipality has 70,010 inhabitants in 66 villages and seven sectors of the main town.
Nouna is the capital of the province of Kossi and has an airfield with the identifier XNU . The city's football club is called Réveil Club Nouna.
