The list of cities in Burkina Faso provides an overview of the development of the population of the larger cities in the West African state of Burkina Faso .

By far the largest agglomeration in Burkina Faso is Ouagadougou with a population of 1,523,980 ( 2006 census ). This means that eleven percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.

The following table contains the cities with more than 10,000 inhabitants, as well as the results of the censuses (VZ) of December 10, 1985, December 10, 1996 and December 9, 2006. The province and region to which the city belongs is also listed. The population figures refer to the respective urban settlement - the geographical urban area - not to the city or municipality in the political sense.
