Oubritenga is a province in the Plateau Central region in the West African state of Burkina Faso with 283,997 inhabitants (2013) on 2778 km².

It is mainly inhabited by Mossi , whose livelihood is predominantly subsistence farming . The main town is Ziniaré . According to plans, the new major airport of Ouagadougou is to be built in Loumbila . The name Oubritenga means "Land des Oubri" in Moré ; Oubri was the son of Ouédraogos , the legendary progenitor of the Mossi.
