Center is one of 13 regions into which the West African state of Burkina Faso is administratively divided. The capital is Ouagadougou , which is also the capital of the country. The region only includes the province of Kadiogo and has 1,410,543 inhabitants (January 2006).

geography

The region is located in the center of the state and covers an area of ​​2805 km². Neighboring regions are Plateau central in the north and east, Center-Sud in the south and Center-Ouest in the west. The climate is Sudanese with a rainy season, the region includes three so-called forêts classées : Wéogo, Nakambé and Gonsé.

population
