Komsilga is both a municipality ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the Center region and the province of Kadiogo . The municipality has 53,255 inhabitants in 18 villages and six sectors of the main town, the majority of them Mossi .

Komsilga borders on the capital Ouagadougou .
