Novadriver was an American stoner rock band from Detroit , Michigan .
history
In 2001 Novadriver released their first album Void , which is musically based on the heavy metal style of the early 1970s and invites the listener on an interstellar journey. Four years later, after the singer and keyboardist Mark Metiers left the band to pursue other interests, the album Deeper High was released in 2005 , again with the returned Mark Metiers and reinforced by guitarist Eli Ruhf. Stylistically, the second album release can be classified close to the stoner rock of the late 1990s. With the completion of the recordings for Deeper High , the songwriter and bassist James B. Anders died unexpectedly, so that the band now faced the difficult challenge of having to close the gap he had left.
