Nuevo Central Argentino (NCA) is an Argentine rail transport company based in Rosario ( Santa Fe ), which primarily operates freight transport on the Ferrocarril Bartolomé Miter .

After the state-owned Ferrocarriles Argentinos were privatized under the presidency of Carlos' Menem , the newly founded company Nuevo Central Argentino took over the freight transport concession on the Ferrocarril Bartolomé Miter for thirty years, with the option of ten more . Operations began on December 23, 1992. In total, the company operates over 5000 kilometers of transport between the provinces of Buenos Aires , Santa Fe , Córdoba , Santiago del Estero and Tucumán . So far NCA has been able to continuously increase the order volume, in 1993 2.83 million tons were transported, in 2002 7.13 million tons.

Since 2005, Nuevo Central Argentino has been offering long-distance services under the name Ferrocentral between the capital and the provincial capitals of San Miguel de Tucumán and Córdoba in cooperation with the local transport company Ferrovías .
